Teshuvah (Repentance)

Teshuva is the Hebrew word for repentance. To truly repent is a very difficult task, for it requires transforming a sin, which is a rebellion against God, into a yearning for an all-encompassing relationship with God. Rabbi Meshulam Zusya of Anipoli, facing the enormity of teshuva, broke it down by making an acrostic of the five letters corresponding with five verses from Torah, Prophets, and Writings, each one a path and a method in the Avoda (hard work) of teshuva.
